Qantas’ Boeing 767 services from Sydney to Honolulu are now fitted with refreshed interiors and inflight entertainment technology, Q Streaming.
Qantas began refreshing 16 aircraft of the 767 fleet to include iPads late last year and plans to have them finished in April. Allowing 200 hours of streaming entertainment, the iPads are a stop gap measure for the ageing fleet, which are delayed in their retirement thanks to the 787 being delivered late.
I’m a fan of the 767. Although these aircraft are old, they are an absolute workhorse and I prefer them over the smaller 737’s when travelling domestic. This update will keep flyers happy who have content to watch. You can also use your own iPad, but I see little point when one is already in your seat pocket.
Lets’ hope Q Streaming is introduce onto other aircraft that don’t have personal IFE
